Like many, I took my first steps with HTML and CSS, marveling at how tags and styles could shape a webpage. JavaScript followed soon after, adding interactivity to my static pages. Each small project fueled my excitement, and I knew this was more than just a hobby.
As I delved deeper, I explored modern frameworks like Next.js. The blend of React components and server-side rendering offered a powerful way to build fast, dynamic websites. Along the way, I embraced tools like TypeScript for type safety and Hero UI for sleek design components.
The idea for MyBlogs came from a simple need: a space to share my thoughts and projects. But I didn’t want just another blog site — I wanted a personalized platform. With Next.js 15 at the core, I focused on creating a seamless user experience, integrating custom components like the Novel editor for rich text formatting and crafting a responsive design with Hero UI.
No journey is without hurdles. Managing global state using a custom editReducer taught me the importance of structured data flow. Setting up authentication with next-auth@beta for secure login pushed me to understand the balance between security and user experience. Each challenge sharpened my skills and solidified my understanding of web development.
MyBlogs is more than just a project — it’s a reflection of my growth as a developer. I plan to keep expanding it by adding new features like comment sections, SEO enhancements, and maybe even a custom analytics dashboard.
From a beginner writing "Hello World" to building MyBlogs, this journey has been transformative. Web development is an ever-evolving field, and I'm excited to continue learning and creating. If you're just starting, remember — every expert was once a beginner. Keep coding, keep building!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on MyBlogs. What features would you like to see? Let’s build something amazing together!
